About the Tutor Registry

Welcome to the Douglas Students' Union Tutor Registry!

Are you in first or second year? Need a firmer grasp of concepts? Struggling with a course? The Tutor Registry can help. The Tutor Registry allows members connect directly online to offer or request tutoring services. Whether you are looking to make some money by offering help to others in your area of expertise, or need a little extra help yourself, the Tutor Registry is a great service for you!

Through the Canadian Federation of Students, the Tutor Registry has now gone national! You can search locally, in our region, or across the country to get the best tutor for you at the best possible price.

This service is wholly owned and operated by your Students' Union and the Canadian Federation of Students.

Costs: There is no cost to post a listing or search the listings using this service. Your Students' Union provides the forum for the sale with no fees for any participant. For each listing you post, you set your own price. For each student requesting tutor services, the price set is the price paid.

Process:

Set Up an Account

At the top right corner of the page, click the “Signup” button and complete the form as instructed. To log in at another time you will be asked for your Username (which is your email) and Password (which you set independently).

Add a Listing to the Tutor Registry

Click on the “Add a New Listing” button above once logged in. From there, choose if you would like to offer tutoring services or post a request for a tutor. Fill out the required fields and hit submit.

Negotiate a Tutoring Time

Once you find a listing that meets your requirements, you may contact the user through the messaging system. Click on their name and a new message will open where you can start negotiating your services.
